Johnson K-8:
Today, we celebrated our Johnson students earning a Level 5 on their PM3 FAST from the 23-24 school year. These Johnson Eagles worked incredibly hard.
Congratulations
and continue to Level Up!
McNeal Elementary School:
In STEM, our Wildcats were classifying shells by color, size and shape with Mr. Kolomiychenko. The students were so proud of themselves as they were collaborating with their teams to solve problems with Cubelets, as well.
Fifth graders in math have been working hard adding/subtracting decimals. They have to line up the decimals, put in "filler zeros" and estimate to check if their answer is "reasonable". Today, students used a Real World scenario by ordering TACOS, BURRITOS and more! They took their partners' "order" like a waiter or waitress, had to choose one menu item from three categories (main food, side item and drink), added the dollar amounts and all while having to keep it under $10! It was fun to hear their conversations using math talk language, incorporating vocabulary words (sum/difference), trying new combos of meals and seeing how math really is in our world every day! Wildcats Lead With Excellence!
Lakewood Ranch High School:
The LRHS FFA and Ag Department set up and planted 150 Earth boxes this week. Mustangs planted 900 plants in the ground including beans, tomatoes, collards, kale, radish, jalapeño, cabbage, squash, potatoes and peas. They plan to donate some to faculty and staff who would like to take home vegetables.

This week, we (MHS Student Council) treated some of our amazing administrators with a special treat. Thank you to Mr. Garrity, Mr. Spahn, Mr. Hall, Mr. Suchy and Mrs. Brigg for all that you do!
Palm View K-8:
Our first 3rd grade Engagement Night was a success! Parents learned the importance of having conversations with their child(ren) as well as reading at home! Each student went home with a special gift to help with homework and 2 lucky families won a drawing for a Walmart gift card! We hope you can come next month, Thursday, October 3rd! #PantherPride
Sea Breeze Elementary School:
All of Pre-K fully immersed themselves in the annual Pete the Cat Sensory Walk! Children and adults had fun exploring the different textures, while building vocabulary and retelling the story, “Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes”.
Southeast High School:
Our new members (SEHS Culinary Club) got the chance to bake cookies today.
