Buffalo Creek Middle School hosted their annual Patriot Day reception on September 11, 2024.
The event was held in the school's new media center.
Students from Joseph Baker’s Global Perspectives classes spent the afternoon getting to know local law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics and veterans.
Four student speakers gave their thoughts on the September 11th attacks and thanked first responders for protecting our community.
The special guests left with boxes full of handmade thank you cards and goodies to take back to their agencies, including Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Palmetto Police Department, North River Fire Department, Florida Highway Patrol and more.
