Current and former Manatee Technical College (MTC) students are helping CAE Healthcare, a Sarasota-based company, assemble units that are training healthcare workers to save lives.

Students are completing the CAE Ares, an emergency medical manikin - a jointed model of the human body with circulator, vascular and respiratory systems.

These training units can be pre-programmed using artificial intelligence for various health conditions.

“This endeavor reflects our commitment to the community, education, and the next generation of manufacturing talent,” said Heidi Wood, President, CAE Healthcare. “This college-to-company partnership will widen the aperture for students seeking vocational careers, showing them what’s possible at home and beyond."

The partnership between MTC and CAE Healthcare helps train students and prepare them for entry into the workforce using the industry's latest technology.
