Manatee Technical College is inviting the community to an East Campus Open House on April 5, 2022, from 6 until 8 p.m. at 5520 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard in Manatee County.
MTC East Campus provides workforce training for in-demand occupations in healthcare and public safety. Visitors will have a chance to tour the campus, meet counselors, instructors and staff, and explore funding options with the financial aid department.
MTC East prepares students for employment with healthcare providers, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and others. Visitors may see demonstrations that include:
Dental Assisting - 3D impressions and orthodontic adjustments
Nursing - Simulator Lab and simulated birth
EMT- Ambulance simulator and “Anatomage” table
Firefighter- Vehicle extraction and smoke in the tower
Medical Assisting - Casting
Medical Coder Biller - Investigating codes and insurance for diseases/conditions
Pharmacy Tech - Capsule making, IV preparation, and filling medication orders
Surgical Technology - Appendectomy and Laparoscopy simulator
Food trucks will offer food for purchase, and attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for prizes.
