Rogers Garden-Bullock (RGB) Elementary has proclaimed Thursday, March 10, 2022 as "Unicorn Day".
The school held a celebration to wrap up their Read Across America activities.
Staff and students were encouraged to wear unicorn attire, colorful clothing, hats or headbands.
There was a very special virtual visit from children's author, Lisa Caprelli.
RGB teachers all received a signed copy of the book featuring her beloved character, Unicorn Jazz, and students asked her questions about her career.
The children's book "Bee-ing Happy with Unicorn Jazz" encourages children to share what makes them happy.
Lisa Caprelli made a video for YouTube featuring student artwork from Rogers Garden-Bullock Elementary showing what makes them happy.
RGB Media Specialist Fay Servoss and Reading Coach, Jennifer Mitchell, helped organize the Unicorn Day activities, including games and treats.
Assistant Principals Rebecca Britto (left) and Sheila Waid (right) wore their best unicorn attire.
What a colorful way to celebrate READING, WRITING and BEING KIND. Way to go, Rockets!
