Lee Middle School went Hollywood on Thursday, April 21st when the school hosted its 2022 Film Showcase, complete with a red carpet, flashing cameras and an engaging variety of films.
Films featured in the showcase were all written, acted in, directed and edited by students in Lee Middle Media Specialist’s Terri Rhode’s Film Class. The short films included Book Trailers, Documentaries, Instructional Films, Public Service Announcements, Comedies, News Features, TikTok and Drama.
Guests who attended the showcase walked along a red carpet into the media center as a group of students and staff members greeted them and took photos. There was also popcorn and festive decorations for those in attendance.
Parents, family members and other guests laughed at the comedies, thoughtfully watched the documentaries and dramas, and applauded every film shown.
Students who contributed to the films shown included Aubrey Bartruff, Julie Crews, Kennady Crum, Ajia Duncan, Belange Fils, Lidia Gauna, Jiovanny Gomez, Jazmine Huewitt, Luz Lynch, Eva Murillo, Henri Ojeda, Fernando Santos Rapalo, Yoame Riambaut, Jeramiah Richardson, Aniyah Sneed, Kayden Tamer, Ayden Thornton, Kemely Valdes and Jaidyn Washburn.
