Manatee County students continue to shine on the national stage. Teams from seven middle and high schools earned Top Ten awards during the 2022 National Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference in categories ranging from architectural design to mechanical engineering. It’s the first time the conference has been held in-person since 2019; it was a virtual event in 2021 and cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nearly 6,000 students and advisors from across the U.S. attended the conference held in Dallas from June 26th through June 30th. Middle and high school students competed in more than 70 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) events. The conference also provided students with opportunities for leadership development and career exposure in STEM fields.
