Teachers and staff returned to their schools on Tuesday, August 2nd, to prepare for an exciting new school year.
The "flight crew" from Kinnan Elementary School will be ready for the students' arrival on Wednesday, August 10th.
Principal Wendy Mungillo and Assistant Principal Beth Campbell invited teachers and school staff for a welcome event inside a jet hangar near SRQ (Sarasota Bradenton International Airport).
They celebrated their theme for the new school year: Top Gun - Fly into the Learning Zone.
Wearing matching t-shirts and aviator sunglasses, the group welcomed new crew members, shared summer adventure stories and snapped selfies.
