We're proud to share that Bayshore High School's Paw Print journalism program has received Quill & Scroll's International Second Place Award.

Bayshore High was the only school in Florida to receive an award.

The award is named for the founder of Quill and Scroll, and the Gallup Poll.

"I did not expect us to get an award this year because last year was our "first" year," said teacher, Jean Faulk. "I'm very proud of the second place award. Next year... first place."

The student newspaper had been on hiatus for a couple of years (since 2019) until Ms. Faulk got the Paw Print printing again in 2021.

We spoke with Executive Editor Meah H., a Bayshore High junior, who said she was very proud of the award.
