The Bradenton Marauders celebrated Education Day at LECOM Park in Bradenton on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Several elementary schools took a field trip to watch the action as the Marauders took on the Daytona Tortugas.
We caught teachers, parent chaperones and students having fun in the stands and snacking on popcorn, hot dogs and Kona Ice.
Palmetto Elementary School’s fifth graders, wearing their “Class of 2023” t-shirts, were picked to compete in a water balloon toss that was broadcast on the ballpark’s big screen behind second base.
Other schools attending include Ballard, Rogers Garden-Bullock, Moody and Myakka City Elementary Schools.
Each year, school administrators choose Education Day at LECOM Park to reward students who excel in academics or citizenship.
