Braydon Bernard from Parrish Community High School and Matthew Maurer from Southeast High School joined 103 students at the 2023 Sunshine State Scholars Conference.
The Florida Department of Education hosted an event to honor educators and students for their academic excellence on April 13th and 14th in Orlando.
Participants are paired with potential employers who specialize in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) fields and representatives from Florida’s colleges and universities for networking opportunities.
They also joined their peers in a “think tank” discussion to discuss challenges statewide.
Both Braydon and Matthew were among the 28 students to receive a one-year scholarship to attend a Florida college or university.
The Sunshine State Scholars also received iPads and tickets to Sea World Orlando.
Congratulations!
