Happy American Education Week! At Mote, our Education team offers a wide range of programs that teach our community — from Pre-K to gray — about our oceans.
One of our Education grant programs is IN:VERT, short for the GEOPAths Informal Network Vocational Experiences and Research Training in Marine Science.
IN:VERT is hosted at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, providing students with valuable access to marine science education.
The program is funded by the National Science Foundation and is dedicated to helping young students explore marine research while building their confidence to push the boundaries of scientific discovery.
Through the program, students get to go on a variety of fun marine science-focused excursions, including scuba diving, shark teeth collecting, water quality testing and more.
The future of marine science and technology starts in these classrooms, and we could not be more excited about being a part of the magic of learning.
