Anna Maria Elementary School held a virtual Peace Day for families. In a pre-recorded video ceremony, students participated in a parade of flags tradition and sang songs aligned with this year's theme. You can view the video here.
15 miles away at Oneco Elementary School, hundreds of Pinwheels for Peace are on display outside. Students made the pinwheels in Ms. Warne's art class by creating illustrations and writing words answering the question, "What do people need for peace?"
In Lakewood Ranch, students from McNeal Elementary School celebrated International Peace Day by making beautiful art projects. They were placed throughout campus for all staff and students to admire.
