In Manatee County, a wave of academic excellence has swept through the halls of two high schools, leaving a trail of pride and inspiration. The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has announced the Academic Team Champions for Fall 2024-2025, and the spotlight shines brightly on the student athletes of Lakewood Ranch High School and Parrish Community High School. 

At Lakewood Ranch High School, the Mustangs have galloped to the forefront of academic achievement. The Girls Swimming team, with their unwavering dedication and hard work, has led the state in academics for Class 4A, boasting an impressive cumulative team GPA of 3.835. Their male counterparts, the Boys Swimming team, have also made a splash, securing the 12th spot in Florida with a commendable cumulative team GPA of 3.567.

Meanwhile, at Parrish Community High School, the Bulls have charged ahead in Indoor Volleyball. Their relentless pursuit of excellence has earned them the top spot in academics for Class 6A, with a stellar cumulative team GPA of 3.811.

The FHSAA Academic Team Champion recognition program celebrates not only athletic prowess but also the spirit of teamwork and academic dedication. Schools with the highest cumulative point totals for the entire school year are honored with special awards.
