Hundreds of third grade students from Manatee County school are celebrating Farm City Week with an annual field trip to help their knowledge of agriculture grow.

The 4-H Ag-Venture was held on November 15th and 16th at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto.

Students learned about agriculture and horticulture, especially as it relates to our community.

There were activities about citrus, beef cattle, soil, fossils, oysters and plants.

One of the most popular was the chance to pet goats and bunnies.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without our community partners, including Manatee County Farm City Week Committee, Manatee County 4-H Association, Kiwanis Club of Bradenton, The Mosaic Company, Manatee County Farm Bureau and Manatee River Fair Association.
