School staff with pie on their face

Prine Elementary School's Girls on the Run Club participated in a Community Impact Project to help feed people in need this holiday season.

In total, more than 900 non-perishable food items were collected and each student who donated received a ticket.

On Friday, 14 lucky students whose tickets were randomly drawn, got the chance to smoosh a whipped cream "pie" in the faces of Principal Greg Sander, Asst. Principal Mary Cooke, and GOTR Coaches Michele Wagstaff, Bridgette Carlock, Katie Bagley and Trisha Harrell.

Former Asst. Principal Scott Flynn made a surprise visit, too.

There was lots of laughter and excitement throughout the two school assemblies.

Donations are benefiting a local organization which helps people without housing called, "Bring on the Ministry".
