The School District of Manatee County is proud to announce the recipients of Florida Council for Social Studies (FCSS) Teacher of the Year recognition.
They include Joy Clark from Horizons Academy (High School category), Chelsie Haas from Palm View K-8 (Middle School category), and Karen Runde from Abel Elementary School.
Recipients were recognized during an awards ceremony and at their respective schools for the 2022-23 school year.
The FCSS TOY Awards honor outstanding K-12 teachers from each of Florida’s school districts.
“Their commitment to excellence and continued focus on helping their students grow is transparent daily,” said Kathryn Wald, Coordinator of Social Studies for the School District of Manatee County.
