Some Manatee County student artists were named 'BEST' in a giant greeting card contest held by the Mall at University Town Center.
The innovative and imaginative works of art were on display during the holidays. Students from select Manatee and Sarasota County schools participated.
Facebook fans helped determine the winners of the first, second and third-place prizes, including $250, $150 and $100 respectively.
Manatee County's public school artists won a total of $1,500 in prizes for their programs.
Elementary Schools: 
1st place: Mills Elementary (Palmetto)
2nd place: Prine Elementary
3rd: Harvey Elementary (Parrish)
Middle Schools:
3rd: Buffalo Creek Middle (Palmetto)
High Schools:
K-8 Schools:
1st & 2nd: Johnson K-8
3rd: Palm View K-8 (Palmetto)
