It's fair time and dozens of educators, students and animals are putting their best foot (or hoof) forward after months of planning and hard work.
Many FFA (Future Farmers of America) students are earning blue ribbons and first-place titles at the Manatee County Fair.
We've gathered a few of the moments posted on social media regarding this long, celebrated community tradition.
Buffalo Creek Middle School FFA
This dairy team has been working since October 2021 to care for their heifers and train them for show, according to a Facebook post. They were responsible for halter-breaking, fitting and grooming their animals, while also learning how to work as a team for feeding, cleaning and barn maintenance. Braden River HIgh School FFA

Braden River Middle School FFA
Mrs. Beach and her FFA students took home 'Best in Class', 'Best in Breed' and 'First Premium' for "Matilda" the Orpington hen. Their rabbits also earned two blue ribbons and a red ribbon. (Courtesy: Braden River Middle School)
Lakewood Ranch High School FFA

Lincoln Memorial Middle School FFA
