The School District of Manatee County invited community partners to join them for a Hispanic Resource Community Fair at Wakeland Support Center on February 24, 2022.
It was the third time the fair was held with the goal of bringing community and school district resources to Spanish-speaking families
Parents had the opportunity to create FOCUS accounts (online grade portal), register their children for Voluntary Pre-Kindergarden (VPK), learn about tutoring opportunities, free English classes, rental assistance, and much more.
Fifty-one families attended the February 22nd Fair—the largest number of attendees to date
The school district is hosting another Hispanic Outreach Fair on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be food, face painting, MCR dental and eye appointments available, as well as more community partners attending
