From bringing unity during the challenges of integration at Manatee High School to mentoring future greats like Henry Lawrence and Ray Bellamy, Coach Shannon didn’t just change the game — he changed lives, and a community, forever.
A WWII veteran, Florida High School Athletic Association Hall of Famer, community icon, and lifelong motivator, Coach has spent more than a century reminding us all to keep a-goin'.
