Manatee County Students Shine on the National Stage at TSA Conference

Manatee County's brightest innovators have once again proven they can compete with the best in the nation.

Young engineers from 7 Manatee County traditional middle and high schools returned home from the Technology Student Association (TSA) National Conference with an impressive 28 Top 10 national finishes, showcasing their talents in engineering, technology, design, leadership, and problem-solving.

Leading the way were three National Championship titles:

  • Braden River High School – CAD Engineering

  • Braden River Middle School – Robotics

  • Dr. Mona Jain Middle School – Children's Stories

Additional Top Three podium finishes included:

  • Braden River Middle School – 2nd place in Mechanical Engineering

  • King Middle School – 2nd place in Digital Photography

  • King Middle School — 3rd place in Problem Solving

  • Dr. Mona Jain Middle School -- 3rd place in Structural Engineering

Students also earned Top 10 honors across a wide range of competitive events, including Biotechnology, Leadership Strategies, Prepared Speech, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and many more.

These remarkable accomplishments reflect months of creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and dedication from students, along with the unwavering support of their TSA advisors, educators, families, and school communities.

Beyond the competition, the conference offered students an unforgettable opportunity to experience our nation's capital during a truly historic year. As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, students explored Washington, D.C.'s iconic monuments, memorials, museums, and landmarks, creating memories that extended far beyond the competition floor.

Congratulations to every student who represented Manatee County with excellence, curiosity, and professionalism. Your achievements continue to demonstrate that the future of engineering, innovation, and technology is bright—and it's being built right here in Manatee County.
