Parrish Community High School’s theatre department posted their cast list for the musical “Legends in Concert.”
“Legends in Concert” will take place on Monday, October 20 at 6:30pm.
Olga Pena led the theatre auditions for the musical “Legends in Concert.” This show is heavy with dancing, lighting, and singing.
Pena said the show will be “ecstatic.” Students interested in auditioning were asked to embody their favorite artist and perform in a concert for the audience. Some of these stars might include Adele, Elvis, Brittany Spears, and Shakira. Last year, NSYNC made an appearance!
The audition was closed, with only Pena in the room. Auditions were held in the auditorium right after school on Friday, Aug. 22. Students brought songs that were at least a minute long, and school appropriate.
Kendall Vondran is a long time member of the theater department. She played Brittany Spears in last year’s performance. She said, “Legends was so fun! It was such a good experience to grow closer with my cast and crew mates, but also gave me more experience of putting on a character and performing as someone else.”
Students who can sing, dance, and love to perform were encouraged to fill out the audition form. The rest of the student body is encouraged to come out and support the theater department in the audience.
