Parrish Community High School Theater Director Olga Pena is preparing to host auditions for this year’s spring musical “Cinderella.” Auditions are being held from November 17-21 in the auditorium after school. Students that can sing, dance, or act are highly encouraged to attend.

November 17-18 is for those interested in principal roles; November 19 is for dance and ensemble singing, while November 20-21 will be callbacks.

Pena, the director of Bulls Theatre Company, is excited to direct Cinderella this year. She said, “it is an exciting show, and it will most likely be one of the biggest shows yet with all the newer theatre kids.”

Newly inducted Thespian Darrion Whipper says, “I'm very excited about this musical. The audition process will be so fun, being able to sing in front of Ms. Pena, and being able to audition with all my friends for ensemble. I love being in large shows like this, it helps me create new friendships, and overall, a second family.”

Those interested in principal roles must be ready to audition with one of the following songs:

  • “In My Own Little Corner”

  • “There is Music in You”

  • “Stepsister’s Lament”

  • “Loneliness of the Evening”

  • “A Lovely Night”

  • “Boys and Girls Like You and Me”

Those auditioning for dance and ensemble will sing “The Prince is Giving a Ball” and dance to choreography that will be taught on the day of the audition.

All students auditioning for Cinderella must fill out the required Google form by Wednesday, November 12. The form is posted to the Bulls Theatre Company group on Schoology and on the Bulls Theatre Company’s Instagram. Students that have questions should contact Pena directly.

Good luck to everyone auditioning!
