The following is the November Newsletter from the PCHS FFA Program.

FFA Reporter: Sophia Gagliano

The month of November was filled with achievements and activities for PCHS FFA. From food drives to prelim testing, the chapter has been working hard. However, the highlight of this month was the National FFA Convention & Expo. 11 of our members attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN. Students got the opportunity to experience agriculture in Indiana and leadership opportunities. PCHS FFA also received awards on the National stage while they were at National Convention. The chapter was recognized as a Three-Star National Chapter for its program of activities from the previous year. Additionally, two of our freshman members, Aubrey Weber and Savannah Primrose, ranked 8th in the nation for their Consumer Science Agriscience Fair project. From November 10–18, we hosted a food drive supporting F.E.L.T. (Feeding Empty Little Tummies), collecting ramen and pop-tab cans in a friendly competition to determine which officers would get pied at our next meeting. On November 18, we held our monthly FFA meeting, where Manatee County Agriculture Deputy Justin Yero and Adam R spoke to us about the importance of animal welfare and shared insights about their roles. We wrapped up the meeting with three officers getting pied and an impressive total of 288 food items collected!
