Threatre 3 Honors (period 4) and Thespians (period 5) will both be performing plays and putting them together for a showcase on December 12 in the PCHS auditorium. This is a free event for staff, students, family, and the community.
Theatre 3 Honors will put on “The Audition”, a short play by Don Zolidis. This play is directed by none other than Olga Pena and has a cast of 20 people. This play is about a school hosting auditions for the musical “A Chorus Line”. It shows comedic but also dramatic values in a student's life, showing the reality of tons of kids.
Thespians will put on “Brian the Comet”, a short play by Emily Hageman. This play is also directed by Pena, making it where she has her own twist on the show. This play is about two teenagers, Jude and Brian. These two connect over extreme feelings of fear, loss, and the uncertainty of their lives. 28 people are in this show, with a few backstage working alongside of Pena,
Virginia Carpenter is in Theatre 3 Honors. She will play Elizabeth in “The Audition”. She said, “I’m really excited to do a class show with everyone. We did one last year, but we did not get to perform in front of an actual audience outside of school. Now we get the opportunity to show our talents and perform in front of parents, siblings, and our peers from school.”
