Girl’s soccer has been putting in the work to reclaim their district title. Their first district match will take place on Thursday, January 22 at 7:00pm against Palmetto High School.
The girls ended the first half of their season with two weekend games on December 19 and 20. They played North Fort Myers and Mariners High School with the games ending in a tie and loss.
To kick off the new year and the second half of their season, the girls played back to back nights against Sarasota, Palmetto, and Braden River January 6-8 respectively. Sarasota was a victory for Varsity 3-0, Palmetto and Braden River ended in ties.
For Varsity, they have played 3 other games against Braden River, Manatee, and Venice. They won against Manatee and Venice and tied with Braden River.
On January 13, the girls took on Manatee for a 7-0 victory on senior night. The team recognized seven seniors. Each walked out onto the field at half time with their family with announcements of their post-graduation plans including their college and intended major.

The team went on to compete in their final regular season match against Venice on January 16 with a 4-0 win.
This also marks the end of the junior varsity season. They took Palmetto, Braden River, Manatee, and Venice with victories and Cardinal Mooney in a tie.
The Varsity team now looks ahead to districts. They earned a bye in the quarter finals and will take on Palmetto for the semifinals. Lakewood Ranch and Manatee will also battle in a semifinal match. The winners of each will advance to finals for the District Championship title on January 27.
