“You Herd It Here”

PCHS FFA

Reporter: Sophia Gagliano

As January and February come to a close, it is time to celebrate Parrish FFA members’ hard work at the fair. This year the Manatee County Fair took place from January 15 – January 25. PCHS had over 100 exhibitors participating, showing steers, beef heifers, dairy, poultry, swine, rabbits, dogs, horses, and plants. Many of these members received high class placings, ribbons, and awards; demonstrating the countless hours of hard work and dedication they have put into their projects this year.

Additionally, Parrish is extremely grateful to the many buyers who supported youth agriculture participation by purchasing a chapter animal or our chapter plants those include:

Mike Henry Automotive, Dakin Natural Soils, the Toomey Family, the Mold Experts of Florida, Gulf Coast Ag, Trout & Leigh Insurance, Reagan Ranch, Arrants Plumbing, and PRS Pipe Restoration Solutions.

Keep them in mind when using local businesses!

However, the fun did not stop in January; our members also took time to volunteer at the Ola Mae Sims park clean up and parking at the Conley Buick Bull Bash. We are very excited for our National FFA Week as well as Feb 23rd to 27th! Stay tuned for the next round of events coming up.
