PCHS Bulletin – Brooklynn Deckman
Date Published – April 28, 2026
The PCHS Lady Bulls Softball Team finished their regular season with four straight wins against St. Cloud, Sarasota, Berkeley Prep, and Monteverde Academy to boost their record to 13-5-1 and give the team a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the district playoffs.
Following Lennard’s 10-0 shutout against Gateway in the district quarterfinals, they will now head to Parrish on Tuesday, April 28.
“I wouldn’t say it’s gonna be an easy win, but I would say it’s gonna be one of our easier games,” Emmaline Van Beck (Jr.) said. “I feel like we’ve been working hard for the playoffs, and I feel like we should just be smooth through this game.”
The Lady Bulls also celebrated Van Beck for reaching 300 career strikeouts, alongside Alysa Jones (Jr.) for reaching 100 career hits.
“It’s definitely a big accomplishment,” Van Beck said. “I feel like it’s setting the standard for other incoming players and just something I work really hard for.”
The Lady Bulls open their district playoff slate hoping to return to States and bring PCHS a third state championship in the last four years.
