The PCHS Bulls Baseball Team concluded their state series run with a 3-5 loss against Gaither in the regional quarterfinal on April 24.
Parrish went into the regional playoffs after a 6-2 victory over Lakewood Ranch, followed by a 2-4 loss to Palmetto to take the district runner-up title. They finished the season with a 13-13 record.
Manatee Diamond Club recognized Sam Torres (Sr.) as the 2026 Manatee County Player of the Year. Their Facebook post said Torres “had a great year at the plate and was a driving force behind the Parrish offense all season.”
His stats are: .431 AVG, 31H, 11 RBI, 15 R, 10 2B, 3 3B, and .481 OBP.
The Bulls had a handful of new faces this year. Freshmen Bryson Nowakowski (outfielder/pitcher) and Ian Robinson (catcher) were starters on varsity. Landon Straub (So.) moved up to varsity to play infield and relieve for the Bulls pitching with a 4.20 ERA. The last new face on the Bulls was Noah Kendrick (Jr.), who typically played outfield for the Bulls, but could play infield as well. Kendrick transferred from Inspiration Academy this year.
Additionally, the Bulls recognized nine graduating seniors. These seniors were interviewed to talk about their futures after Bulls Baseball:
Weston Terell: Weston has been playing baseball since he was six, starting in T-ball. He brings a sense of friendship to the team while having “good vibes”, as Terell likes to put it. After graduation he plans on playing summer ball and making it into college.
Miguel Payano: Miguel has been playing baseball since he was six years old. He delivers a great attitude and hustle to his team, while always being there for his teammates. After graduation, he plans on working hard in summer ball to try and get a scholarship to play in college.
Gehrig Skole: Gehrig has been playing baseball since he was five years old. He brings good leadership to the team, along with being a great team player on top of that. After graduation, Gehrig plans to attend college in the fall.
Samuel Torres: Sam has been playing baseball for 13 years now. He brings a good bat to the team as he had led the team this year in batting average and on base percentage. Sam is committed to Hillsborough Community College to continue his athletic and academic career.
Caleb Hoch: Caleb has been playing baseball for a total of 14 years now. He is known for bringing enjoyment and energy to the team, being a source of “hype.” Caleb plans on going into the family business and starting his own business after graduation.
Wesley Anderson: Wesley has been playing baseball for seven years. He brings solid leadership to the team and acts as a role model to younger players on the team. After graduation, Wesley plans to go to SCF to continue his baseball career.
Vincent Barry: Vincent has been playing baseball for eight years. He brings a lot of energy to the team, hyping his teammates up during games and practices. After Graduation, Vincent plans on attending Lake Sumter State College to continue his baseball career.
Francesco Giustino: Francesco has played baseball since he was four years old. He brings motivation to the team, lifting his team up when they need it. After graduation, Francesco plans to play baseball in college.
Tyler Brown: Tyler has been playing baseball since he was four years old. He brings competitiveness to the team, always challenging his teammates. After graduation, Tyler plans to attend SCF to play baseball.
