The goal of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is to get more students involved. That goal was achieved. Students ended the year with new friends, more lessons learned, and a stronger connection to God.

The club held multiple events for students this year. On Sept. 25, they held a Prayer at the Pole; a national holiday. Students gathered around the flagpole before school to pray for the school, the day, and the community.

Throughout the month of December, FCA participated in Operation Christmas Child; a program that helps give gifts to children all over the world. All for Him, an all-girls bible study and Christian leadership group, partnered with FCA. Both groups worked after school to help pack the donated presents.

On April 24, FCA participated in the Fields of Faith event at Manatee High School. This was a fun night for students to hang out, worship, and receive an amazing message. The turnout was incredible.

Sophia Thomas said, “I loved the community FCA gave me. I got many friends from this club, and I am looking forward to seeing how FCA impacts PCHS next year.”

Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron Sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” FCA student leaders have worked hard all year to help students live out this verse by providing a welcoming Christian environment. Every week, they prepare a message for the Friday morning club meetings, and they set an example for the whole student body.

FCA members thank Susan Grainger for hosting the club in her classroom every week.

To most students, FCA was not just a club but a family. Everyone in the club put God first and were there for each other all year. God has big plans for this club next year.
