PCHS Bulletin – Haven Wood

JROTC Editor Kamilah Barros shares the July and August edition of the Bulls Battalion Newsletter. The year's company leaders were introduced in addition to describing events from the year so far.

JROTC Battalion Commander Emma Zagrocki (Sr.) says she has already noticed how great the group of cadets and staff are this year, noting them as hard workers and very efficient.

Zagrocki is most excited this year to see the cadets be more hands on with activities and give them a good experience that will make them want to participate again in the program in the future.

Company Commanders Bethany Ryder (Jr.) and Brayden Belak (Jr.) note that the Raiders and Drill teams both went to states last year, so everyone has a lot of faith in those teams and is looking forward to seeing how they do this year.

Cadet Lucas Smith (So.) is hoping to improve his discipline, knowledge, and commitment in JROTC as a whole this year.

The common theme between what the cadets and leadership team are hoping to improve from past years was the number of cadets involved in the different events and teams so everyone can get the true JROTC experience.

Leadership repeated said JROTC is a diverse and fun program, offering many opportunities for everyone and should not just be thought of as just a strict military program.

Additionally, Senior Army Instructor Colonel Bel Wilson was nominated as the Parrish Community High School Educator of the Year nominee. He will move on to district level recognition programs.
