Welcome to Lake Manatee K-8: A New Era of Learning in East Manatee County!!

Lake Manatee K-8 is proud to be the first K-8 school built in the School District of Manatee County, serving as a dynamic centerpiece in one of Florida’s fastest-growing regions. Nestled on over 40 acres in the heart of East Manatee, our state-of-the-art campus features six main buildings and the capacity to educate more than 1,400 students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Surrounded by some of the area’s most popular and family-friendly communities, Lake Manatee K-8 was designed to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding population while offering a seamless and supportive academic journey from early childhood through middle school.

Our school is more than just a place to learn—it’s a thriving environment where students are empowered to grow as leaders. Through the Leader in Me program, based on Dr. Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, we teach our students valuable life and leadership skills that help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom. This whole-child approach encourages personal responsibility, teamwork, goal setting, and a proactive mindset.
