Students of parents who work outside the School District of Manatee County (SDMC) may receive an excused absence if they participate in this activity. Parents or guardians must notify the school in advance via phone call, email, or written note that their student will be participating. Advance notification is required for the absence to be considered excused.
Due to student testing and other important end-of-year instructional activities, SDMC employees will not participate in Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. SDMC employees cannot bring their children to work on April 23, 2026.
