Introduction to Agriculture (AG 1)

  • The agricultural program is a fun hands-on course that offers an opportunity for students to learn about the endless possibilities in the world of agriculture. Students will be exposed to the many areas of agriculture such as wildlife, aquaculture, small animals, career explorations, dairy products, greenhouse plant management, landscaping, beef cattle, leadership, and food safety.

FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those enrolled and interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of Agriculture Education. There is a yearly Lab fee of $35 and is a requirement of the class. This will include the New Horizons quarterly magazine, access to the student portal of FFA.org, National and State Fees, and a Haile Chapter Shirt.

*Students do NOT need to have an animal for Fair, nor do they have to be on a competition team. This is the student's choice to participate in these opportunities.
