(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Several Mustangs took their first Advanced Placement (AP) tests this year.

AP classes are essentially college level courses. Many Mustangs' first AP class was AP Human Geography.

Mustang sophomore Roman Olievsky stated, “My first AP test was not as difficult as I thought it would be, however, if I did not study at all, then the test would have been really hard.

“Studying for AP exams before the test, really helps in my opinion, AP tests are really hard to cram for, just a day before, what I did was two weeks before the exam.

“Overall, the testing experience was amazing, and I feel confident in myself,” added Roman.

Freshman Max Olievsky also stated that “I dreaded my first AP, but when I got to the exam, I felt confident in myself. I think that the reputation they have is just because of the name AP.”

Max continued that, “But other than that it is just a test. But you do need to study well before the exam. Because the writing portion will get you if you don’t study.”

Freshman Magnus Tilton also stated, “I dreaded my first AP, but when I got to the exam, I felt confident in myself. I think that the reputation they have is just because of the name AP.

“But other than that it is just a test. But you do need to study well before the exam. Because the writing portion will get you if you don’t study.”

AP testing season will come to an end with the last exam being May 23, AP Psychology, after the original session was rescheduled.

Finals for Mustangs begin May 23 with the sixth-period exam.
