(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) — Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) hosted a successful open house Thursday for the 2025-2026 school year.
Over 1200 new Mustangs and family members attended the 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. sessions to learn what it means to be a Mustang, the school’s academic and extracurricular offerings and expectations, standard procedures, and more.
Principal Dustin Dahlquist stated, “I've been at several different schools, and I can tell you that this is a place where we are committed to students' academic excellence and ensuring that they will have a number of opportunities offered to them after they leave LRHS.”

New Mustangs were urged to stay involved with campus events and to be an active part of the LRHS community. Before and after the presentations LRHS club leaders showcased their activities for incoming Mustangs in the school courtyard.
Additionally, school officials detailed valuable first-day-of-school details. They recommended that students arrive early, find their homerooms in advance (Mustangs’ homerooms can be found on Focus and the website), and look for teachers, administrators and Student Government Association (SGA) members for assistance in finding classes throughout the day.
All Mustangs are required to be in their alpha homerooms by 7:30 a.m. The first day of school is Aug. 11.
