(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)— “Mustangs Ahead” is the student journalism program for Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS.)
“Mustangs Ahead” staff members are tasked with producing content for LRHS’s Instagram, Facebook, and website.
Staff attend sporting events, presentations, and various other assemblies to gain information and pictures for future stories
“Mustangs Ahead” updates the website and aims to consistently cover events, activities, and general information for LRHS families, staff, and students.
“Mustangs Ahead” Outreach Coordinator Sophia Wiley, senior, stated, “The program is full of an amazing group of staff that constantly exceeds my expectations.
“I love being able to promote the program and show what we do best.”

During the 2024-2025 school year, “Mustangs Ahead” produced 680 total stories and amassed 52,781 views across various platforms. “Mustangs Ahead” also provided stories for programs such as Patch and Good News.
