(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) — Requests for schedule changes start Aug. 12.
During the first week back for Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustangs, school counselors are working to address scheduling issues.
Schedule changes for other students start 7 a.m., Aug. 13, and will end 3 p.m., Aug. 15. Only requests submitted through the proper procedure will be accepted. Requests sent by email will not be accepted.
LRHS Counselor Jenna Moser stated, “Counselors do plan to reference the course registration forms while reviewing schedule change requests. Schedule changes will not be made if the student selected the course on their registration form.
“Schedules will not be changed if you did not meet the prerequisites for the course you are requesting,” she added.

Before requesting a schedule change, please review these questions that will be asked by counselors -
Did you request the course you are asking to change? (This includes any of the 6 elective choices you were asked to make in the spring)
Do you meet the prerequisite for the course you are wanting to take? (Testing scores, grades, and teacher recommendations)?
Have you already taken the course you are trying to change?
If you are new to us, do we have your transcripts? And did we receive a course selection form from you?
It is important to note that the alphabetical assignment to school counselors has changed since last year. The new list is -
