(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) — Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a student-led organization at Lakewood Ranch High School.

FBLA is the largest business, career and technical student organization in the world.

Each year, FBLA helps more than 230,000 members in middle school, high school, and college prepare for careers in business.

FBLA competes at three different levels: districts, states, and nationals. Every member who chooses to compete will start at district level and has the potential to make it to nationals.

This past summer, Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) FBLA students traveled to Anaheim, CA for the 2025 National FBLA Conference. It took place June 29 - July 2.

At nationals, members compete in business events, attend leadership workshops, network with peers and professionals, participate in ceremonies, and gain insights from keynote speakers.

Mustangs also have the opportunity to explore new places and learn more about students all over the country.

Senior Kaci Cobb competed at Nationals this past summer. Cobb said, “My event, Digital Video Production, made it. It was a great experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone thinking about joining FBLA.”

Once nationals had finished, that marked the end of the 2024-2025 FBLA year. Now that school has started, the 2025-2026 FBLA year has begun.

Students interested in business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and developing professional skills should join FBLA. It’s open to high school students who want to build their future careers.

The goal for the 2025-2026 FBLA year is to increase member engagement, expand community impact, and achieve success in district, state, and national competitions.

Any student interested in becoming a strong leader should definitely explore what FBLA has to offer. Mustangs can now register for the 2025–2026 member year. See LRHS vocational teacher and FBLA adviser Sharelies Rodriguiez in Room 542 to pick up an application.
