Maya Gilkison- Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Blood Drive Committee is having its first meeting at 7 a.m. on Aug. 27 in room 517.
The Blood Drive Committee is a club on campus that hosts blood drives every quarter. Mustangs are able to help run and promote these drives.
This club is affiliated with SunCoast Blood Center, which is a non-profit organization that provides a safe and reliable supply of blood products to local hospitals and healthcare facilities in Southwest Florida.

Students and staff who are 16 years old or older can donate blood products. Mustangs younger than 17 years old need parental consent to donate.
Donors get free Chick-fil-a sandwiches, snacks, drinks, and a gift card for donating.
Club Officer Samantha Devine said, “Being a member of the blood drive committee and volunteering is a great way to help the community.”
