(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Sarasota Herald Tribune recently selected Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) seniors Kora Yanes and Ava Collins for the “Fab 15” to watch this volleyball season.
The “Fab 15” is an annual selection of the top 15 volleyball players to watch in Sarasota and Manatee County.
This selection is based on players' skill, potential, and impact on their team. It is intended to showcase the top talent in the area and excite fans for the season.
Yanes and Collins have been a part of the volleyball program at LRHS for four years and have worked hard to earn this recognition.

Varsity volleyball Head Coach Jessica Leupold said “Both girls are great athletes but more importantly, great students. They're involved in various clubs and organizations as well as difficult AP course loads.”
These characteristics and involvements have influenced the selection of the seniors for the Fab 15.
Collins said, “I've put in a lot of hard work, and I am grateful to receive this recognition and excited for this season.”
Yanes said, “I feel honored to be recognized for all my hard work throughout the years and excited to accomplish more with my team this season.”
The voting for these LRHS athletes closes at 10 a.m. on Aug. 22, 2025.
