(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Thursday morning LRHS seniors had the opportunity to attend the Florida State University (FSU) college visit presentation in the auditorium.

FSU Admission Counselor Grace Scott spoke to seniors about important information to know for applicants that are interested in going to FSU. She answered questions about the school, community, and application process for students to feel prepared and relieved when applying.

More college visit presentations are being held in the LRHS auditorium later this month for the following universities -

  • University of Florida,  9:20-10:10a.m., Sept. 23

  • University of Central Florida,  8:25-9:10a.m., Sept. 24

The college visit for University of South Florida will be a field trip from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Oct. 10. To attend this field trip Mustangs must pick up a permission slip from the guidance office and return it by Sept 29.

LRHS senior Cleo Drapak said, “These visits are very useful and informational for incoming college freshman. I learned a lot from the FSU visit.”

The college visit presentations are for students to ask questions and get information to make the application process easier. It allows students to get a closer look at life outside of high school and envision themselves at a college where they will pursue their education.

Mustangs who want to attend college visits must get a pass from LRHS College and Career Adviser Vito Bavaro in the guidance office, room 104.
