Kaitlynne Welte- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - HOPE Ambassadors had their ‘Start with Hello’ week at Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS).

On Sept. 17 and. Sept 18, the club members passed out stickers to Mustangs in the cafeteria during each lunch period.

These stickers had kind messages on them to promote saying hello to new people. This was a positive way to help Mustangs meet new people and make new friends for the start of the school year.

The club also had a meeting the morning of Friday Sept. 19 where they started working on greeting posters for an event next week.

They will greet Mustangs with positive, uplifting posters on Wednesday morning to help start Mustangs’ mornings off on a high note. HOPE Ambassadors have held this event for years; it is a staple for the club and has been very successful in past years.

Club adviser and LRHS School Counselor Tasia Verno said, “HOPE Ambassadors strives to spread kindness and support throughout the LRHS community with different events during the school year. Simple things like handing out motivational stickers at lunch to welcoming students in the car line to recognizing Veterans who are LRHS staff.”
