UCF VISIT

Erika Walters—Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - This morning, University of Central Florida (UCF) representatives visited Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) to inform Mustangs of their application process and deadlines.

UCF informed Mustangs of the important deadlines and information about the school.

It is suggested that students apply for Early Action due to Regular Action being more competitive, and the privilege to early decisions and access to housing. The Early Action Deadline is Oct. 15, and the materials deadline is Nov. 15.

Students need to self-report their transcript through UCF’s Self-Provided Academic Record for Knights (SPARK) form that can be filled out after the submission of the Common App.

UCF is a large school, with over 100 majors to choose from, 16 D1 sports, and a lively student life.

LRHS Senior Ava Collins, “I learned from the presentation that UCF doesn’t pay attention to your extracurriculars and mainly focuses on your grades and test scores.”

LRHS College and Career Counselor Vito Bavaro said, “The presentation went very well, and the college representative did a wonderful job answering any questions.”

Any other information can be found on the UCF website or the Common App.
