Kaitlynne Welte- Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustangs showed their school spirit today by dressing in their best Mustang spirit or western wear.
This Spirit Day theme has become a tradition for LRHS. Students wore green, black, and white colors today with cowboy hats, western boots, and flannels.
There was a pep rally during seventh period. It included fun games and performances from the LRHS Silver Stars and cheerleaders.

There will also be a tailgate at 5:30 p.m. today outside of the gym. It is a $5 for admission, and there will be free food, drinks, and games.
Student Government Association (SGA) Historian and LRHS senior Hannah Stinnett said, “The tailgate is so fun. All the students get together and celebrate LRHS while eating Chick-fil-A and playing games. Stampede members get in for free, and it is definitely the place to be before the game.”
The day wraps up when the LRHS football team goes up against Bayshore High School in the annual Homecoming football game.
The theme for the game is western, and the Homecoming princes and princesses will be announced for each grade along with the senior queen and king.
