(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -- Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) hosted its Homecoming 2025 pep rally on Thursday ahead of the homecoming game against Bayshore High School.
Thursday was a spirit-filled day at LRHS, with Mustangs dressed in school colors and western-wear leading up to the afternoon pep rally.
LRHS Assistant Principal Thomas Bellantonio shared, “We followed a modified bell schedule, beginning at our regular 7:30 a.m. start time, with shortened class periods to allow everyone to enjoy the afternoon pep rally in the gym.”
The pep rally included a walk-through at the gym by the LRHS Fall sports teams, games prepared by the LRHS Student Government Association (SGA), and performances by the LRHS Silver Stars dance team, band, cheerleaders, and LRHS teachers and staff members.
The LRHS Fall sports teams that walked included-

Mustangs shared their experiences leading up to and during the pep rally.
Junior Silver Stars dancer Claire Sorenson said, “Large amounts of preparation went into the pep rally this year. Practices ranged from 2-3 hours after school, where we cleaned our Britney Spears-inspired routine that we performed in front of the school on Thursday.”
Sorenson continued, “Hard work and dedication went into our performance, and we hope the students and teachers could see that.”
Junior cross country runner Zoe Coppock said, “Walking with my team was a great experience to reflect on all our hard work this season. My favorite part of the pep rally was seeing some of my past and current teachers performing Thriller with the cheerleaders and the dance team.”
Junior swimmer Kayla Goodwin said, “I thought the pep rally was a lot of fun. It was such a cool experience to walk with my swim team and be recognized. My favorite part of the pep rally was watching the teachers dance alongside the cheer team.”
