Gabby Zevallos- Mustangs ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) will host a career fair 12-2 p.m. Tuesday in the school gym.
LRHS College and Career Counselor Vito Bavaro provides details into the career fair and the new college and career corner in the media center.
The career fair will feature businesses that come in from a list approved by the county, and share with students what companies are looking for in their employees.
Bavaro said students should come to the career fair with many questions because it gives them the opportunity to meet people that may hire them later on.
The career fair will give detailed insight into the different jobs within each company.

LRHS used to have a combined college and career fair. Bavaro said the two had to be split due to the number of colleges, around 50, that participate.
Meanwhile Bavaro said he’s ready to open the LRHS Career Corner in the school media center on Nov. 6.
“Every school should have a place where you should be able to pick up information about colleges and for years Lakewood Ranch didn’t have one,” Bavaro said, “so now the corner in the library is perfect.”
The college and career corner entails a lunch and learn, where students can eat their lunch in the media center as they are able to find information on scholarships and applications.
