The day is designed to give teachers a chance for professional development.
Lakewood Ranch Mustangs are using the time off to prepare for after school activities.

Junior Gianna Bugel shared, “After school I am going to go home, and rest then get ready for work at Ed’s Tavern.”
Senior Gabriel Lara said, “I am happy we have an early release, after school I am going to get ready for the varsity soccer game at 7.”
