(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Silver Stars dance team does more than just dance at football and basketball games.
This dedicated group of dancers are involved in community events, fundraisers, and other kinds of off-campus initiatives to showcase their commitment to service and support.
The Stars hold fundraisers throughout the year to help cover expenses like costumes, competition fees, and equipment that is not fully funded by the school. These fundraisers include handing out poinsettias, attending Culver’s Spirit Night, hosting a Publix Can Shake, and a lot more. They aren't just raising money; they are building and creating lasting memories with each other.
One of their most memorable events is their annual University Town Center parade that takes place this Saturday, Nov 8, at 6:30 p.m. The Stars perform a dance for the judges and spread Christmas spirit while walking down the streets showcasing their skills and handing out candy.

The Silver Stars also lend their support at the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. This event is not about performance; it's about solidarity and raising awareness for a critical cause. The Silver Stars use their platform to amplify the message of hope and support, demonstrating that their dedication extends far beyond the dance floor.
These various engagements highlight the team's commitment to both school spirit and broader community involvement, demonstrating their role as active and contributing members beyond the football field and basketball court.
